Alanya University is a private (foundation) university founded in 2011 in Alanya, Antalya Province by the Hamdullah Emin Paşa Foundation (Hamdullah Emin Paşa Vakfı). The law establishing the university was published in the Official Gazette of Turkey (Resmî Gazete) on March 3, 2011, No. 27863.
The educational activities started in the 2014/2015 academic year on a 16-hectare area allocated by Cikcilli Municipality (Cikcilli Belediyesi). Initially, the university included 2 faculties, 3 departments and 1 higher school.
