Academic structure
BAU comprises 11 faculties, a school of foreign languages, two vocational colleges and four institutes for master's and doctoral studies.
Campuses and infrastructure

BAU has six campuses in different areas of Istanbul. The university’s main library, which occupies an area of 1,400 m², contains 250,000 printed and electronic publications.

The university employs 1,358 faculty members and 543 administrative staff.

Total number of students: 17,048 in undergraduate, 19,595 in graduate and 1,306 in associate degree programs
BAU offers an English language course for students who have entered a bachelor's degree but do not have sufficient English language skills. Around 500 students participate in the program each year.
