Karabuk University ranked in the 251–300 range in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings and achieved significant success. Among the 31 Turkish universities included in this ranking, Karabuk University placed 1st among public universities.
Times Higher Education (THE) evaluates universities under 50 years old based on teaching quality, research performance, citation impact, international outlook, and industry income. In the “Young University Rankings” published on THE’s official website, Karabuk University once again ranked in the 251–300 band, reaffirming its strong performance. Moreover, it was ranked 1st among public universities in Turkey included in the list.

In the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2021, Karabuk University was listed among the top 1000 universities in the world and maintained its position among the top 1000 in engineering.
THE, one of the most prestigious organizations evaluating universities globally, published not only the overall top 1000 list but also the subject ranking for engineering fields. In 2021, Karabuk University once again ranked within the 801–1000 band, securing its place among the World’s Top 1000 Universities in Engineering.

According to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2022, Karabuk University was placed in the 1001–1200 range worldwide. In the national ranking of Turkey, it ranked among the top 10 public universities.
THE, one of the most prestigious university evaluation organizations based in the United Kingdom, assessed universities from 99 countries based on criteria such as teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook. The 2022 ranking, prepared with input from students, academics, government bodies, and industry experts, also reflects how the COVID-19 pandemic has begun to impact the global higher education system.
In Turkey, 66 universities were included in the THE 2022 ranking. Karabuk University ranked 17th overall in Turkey and entered the top 10 among public universities.

International exam for students
Karabük YÖS is an exam that can be taken by international students, and with the obtained results, they can apply to study at Turkish universities at the undergraduate and associate degree levels.
Karabük YÖS will be held by Karabük University on June 22, 2022 (Wednesday) at 14:00 Almaty time, at the Almaty Examination Center. Candidates who will take the exam are required to have their ID card or passport with them during the exam.
Exam venue: Kurmangazy 107, Almaty / Kazakhstan, Eurasian Law Academy named after Kunaev.
The exam will consist of a total of 80 questions: 40 mathematics, 10 geometry, and 30 general ability and logic questions. The exam will be conducted in one session, with a total duration of 120 minutes.

Citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus who reside in Northern Cyprus and completed their secondary education (school) there, holding GCE AL (The General Certificate of Education – Advanced Level) exam results, as well as those who studied in colleges and schools in other countries between 2005 and 2010 and have or will obtain GCE AL exam results — their applications are accepted.
