Mission and Vision
Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University is one of the leading public universities in Turkey, located between the two largest metropolitan cities of Ankara and Istanbul, surrounded by unique natural beauty. Founded on July 3, 1992, the university has grown rapidly and become one of the fastest growing universities in the country.
BAİBÜ aims to realize Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's goals of achieving the level of modern civilization. The university focuses on preparing competitive specialists taking into account local and national needs.

Campuses and infrastructure
BAİBÜ has its main campus in İzzet Baysal Yerleşkesi, located in the picturesque Gölköy district, just 8 km from the center of Bolu. In addition to the main campus, the university has campuses in five districts:

The Faculty of Engineering is undergoing accreditation under the Quality Assurance Programme.
The Faculty of Communication works with İLAD (Communication Education Accreditation Council).

Funding and support of the Izzet Baysal Foundation
A unique feature of BAİBÜ is that it is the first public university in Turkey supported by a private foundation. The Izzet Baysal Foundation, established by one of Turkey’s largest philanthropists, has been providing financial support to the university since its establishment.
As of 2017, the foundation has invested 271 million Turkish liras in university infrastructure, including modern laboratories, equipment and buildings.
The foundation provides scholarships to talented and successful students.
The foundation's support helps faculty members achieve international levels of research.
