Faculties and academic structure
Kadir Has University was founded on May 28, 1997 in Istanbul. The current rector is Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydin. It is a leading private university in Turkey, providing education through seven faculties, one college of foreign languages, two vocational colleges and two institutes.

Educational model
The university has implemented an innovative education system called the Core Program (Çekirdek Program), which allows students to develop knowledge not only in their major but also in related fields.
Instead of the traditional exam system, projects, assignments and active participation are used, which develops students' flexible thinking and creativity.
Undergraduate studies are held at the main campus in Cibali, in a historic tobacco factory that has been renovated and adapted to modern educational needs, and in new buildings. The graduate schools are located at the Selimpaşa campus.

The University has entered into agreements with 79 universities in 24 countries on double degree and student exchange programs.
The curriculum meets international standards and teaching is carried out with a flexible schedule.
Most of the teachers have been trained and defended their doctoral dissertations at foreign universities.
