Sakarya University (SAÜ) is a public university located in Sakarya, Turkey. It was founded on July 3, 1992. The university was formed from Sakarya Higher School of Engineering and Architecture, which was opened in 1970. Later, between 1982 and 1992, this educational institution operated as a branch of Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ).
